Unlike in English, pronouns in Tagalog can appear consecutively like shown in the table. Two consecutive pronouns makes the preceding  pronoun act like a possessive pronoun it "owns" or is the actor of the verb it precedes. The succeeding pronoun becomes the focus or the thing being acted upon.  In general, it's just an alternative for way of saying sentences without an ay. Mostly, this are verb sentences.

As Possessive

The consecutive pronoun which is composed of indirect pronoun and a direct pronoun can act as a possessive. The indirect pronoun "owns" the thing it precedes.

FORM 1 : thing + consecutive pronoun

FORM : thing + indirect pronoun + direct pronoun

Estudyante mo ako. ~ I am your student.
Tatay natin siya. ~ He is our father.
Aso natin siya. ~ He/She is our dog.
Supporters mo kami. ~ We are your supporters.

As Verb Phrases

FORM : verb + consecutive pronoun

FORM : verb + indirect pronoun + direct pronoun

Hinabol niya ako. ~  He/She chased me.
Inalagaan ka nila. ~ They took care of you.
Nakita ko sila. ~ I saw them,
Kaawan niyo kami. ~ (You) Take pity on us.

Double Check

If you are unsure of the meaning you can reconstruct the sentence into an "ay" form.

FORM : succeeding noun  + ay + thing + preceding noun.

Ako ay estudyante mo. ~ Estudyante mo ako.
Ako ay hinabol niya. ~ Hinabol niya ako.
