Join us in Facebook: Luzvimindan Project is now in Facebook #Luzvimindan Project | Luzvimindan Project

This is actually a bit late, but as for the sake of keeping records, this will be about Luzvimindan Project's Facebook page here.

Facebook as catalyst to achieve our ends.

Facebook is probably the most used social networking site in the Philippines. With the advent of social media, achieving the advocacy of Luzvimindan Project is more feasible. The plan is to use social media as the catalyst to spread awareness that there is a need to revive Proto Philippine Language or make a language based on it. Facebook can also be used to spread Proto Philippine Language for its assimilation in the Phiippine Society.

From Blogger to Facebook

It was May 15, 2017 when we first made the Facebook page of Luzvimindan Project. The primary purpose of the page was to promote this site as well as to reach more people. The page also contains exclusive content like pictures and videos that aren't here. The focus of this site will be on articles about Luzvimindan Project's goal which is the creation of codename "Luzviminda" which will be a constructed auxiliary language based on all the languages in the country following the Proto Philippine Language as its framework. Of course, creating a language based on the languages of the country entails that the researchers should have at least some knowledge in various languages hence this site will also cover various indigenous languages (Cebuano, Ilocano, Bahasa Sug, etc.) in the country, as well as other things that is in the domain of linguistics and sociology of the Philippines in that regard.

Behind The Logo

It was last June 16, 2017 when Luzvimindan Project formally launched a logo. From using a meme-like display picture it evolve into a somewhat professional looking logo that is inscribe in our new posts since it came about.

Luzvimindan Delta

Luzvimindan Delta is the current logo. The overall design pays homage to the Philippine flag. Silhouette of triangle symbolizes change. While its unclosed nature means it's open to change. While the three shapes that tries to envelop the sun is the tree major islands of the Philippines, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. As well as, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. Each of the shapes are white, blue, and red. White for purity, unity, and understanding. Blue for truth and justice. Red for patriotism, and valor. Each of the shapes are given a star that makes them all equal in their pursuit of the "sun".

Behind The (Current) Cover Photo

The cover photo was also released in June 16, 2017. It's a word cloud of all languages used in the Philippines. It contains all the the languages spoken in the Philippines, except of course foreign ones. However, it was a bit controversial since "Filipino" was included. The reason was because not only it contained the name of the languages but it also contained the alternative names which is why for instance both Cebuano and Bisaya is there even though they are just synonyms.

The Hash Tags

#LuzvimindaNow

#LuzvimindaNow is a portmanteau of the words Luzviminda and Now. Now fits perfectly with Luzviminda since it still sounds natural and true to the origin of the name Luzviminda since it also comes from the portmanteau of the words Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Talk about portmanteau-ception.

#LuzvimindanProject

As the hashtag implies, it's this initiative's name.

#DoNotBeTagalista

Every now and then we post posts to discourage the spread of the Tagalista ideology since one of our advocacies is to promote equality among ethnolinguistic nations.

Closing Remarks

The success of Luzvimindan Project will be highly dependent on how people will receive it. We know that it is a collective effort to make a significant change. So if you are into the idea of reconstructing Proto Philippine Language, promoting Philippine indigenous languages, language trivias and more like Luzvimindan Project here.
